Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Meeting, SEPT27TH 9:30AM

COME SPEAK UP OR COME AND SUPPORT THOSE WHO DO SPEAK UP.

The next Board of Supervisors meeting is Sept 27, 2023, at 9:30 am.  Speak up for our equal rights. ALL the other AZ counties allow the public to speak at the beginning of the meeting right after prayer and Pledge. Other AZ Counties allow the public to bring in their own water ( we are the only county that refuses the public to bring in our own water bottles, and forced to use public water fountain) . Other Az counties BOS meetings allow the public to speak for a minimum of 3 to 5 minutes per speakers for Public Comments. only reduced to 2 minutes if there are more than 20 speakers. ( Maricopa Board of Supervisors only allow 2 minutes and then informs the people of their ability to issue a one minute reduction of their time if they determine that the meeting needs to end.

Other AZ county Board of Supervisors allow the public comment via online and to speak directly after the invocation and pledge.  Maricopa County Board of Supervisors have only been allowing the People’s comment at the end of the meeting with no determined end time.  Is Maricopa County discriminating against the People for their fundamental rights to address grievances with their elected officials?

The People should be able to exercise their rights by;  1) Allowing the Public to speak directly after the invocation and pledge, 2) bring their own container of water to the meeting, 3) At least a minimum of 3 minutes and only a reduction to two minutes if over 20 speakers and, 4)  The right to call in our Public comments via online as customarily done in all other AZ counties.
