Initiated by the WW2 Memorial Committee\, led by former Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett\, it resulted in Arizona’s WW2 Memorial placement at Wesley Bolin Plaza (WBP) in Phoenix\, AZ. \nThe inaugural RTTG involved Arizona citizens\, including youth\, families\, and WW2 veterans\, along with various groups and organizations. Notable features of the event included a B17 flyover\, the presence of Navy Admiral Sanders and WW2 veterans\, a procession of 2000 RTTG riders\, a release of a dozen white doves\, and a grand band.
